  Dancers must meet level requirement before participating.  $100 Deposit is due by May 22.

Raised in the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Vickrey was trained in Seattle, Denver, New York, and San Francisco before joining the San Francisco Ballet Company.  He was the first male student to receive a Ford Foundation Scholarship to that school.  He later joined the company, rising to the rank of principal dancer in just a few short years.  From there he joined the Joffrey Ballet, and then the Harkness Ballet, touring not only the United States, but the Soviet Union, the Near East, South America, and Japan.  He has directed several companies in the United States and for the past twenty years he has served as the Artistic Administrator of Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre as well as being the Assistant to the Artistic Director.  He is also on the faculty of the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School and is the director of the School’s Open Division.

Carla Hughes is a native of Erie, PA and currently works as a professional dancer, choreographer and actress.  She holds a BA in Dance from Point Park University, and an MFA in Performance and Dance Education, from The Ohio State University. Ms. Hughes is the Artistic Director of her solo performance company, SheWorks Dance Theatre and a Teaching Artist for the PA Council of the Arts, Arts In Education Program.  She has been teaching for over 20 years with special emphasis in Jazz, Modern, Contemporary and Hip Hop.  Ms. Hughes currently teaches dance full time for the Erie School District at Collegiate Academy.  She is the Director of Collegiate Academy’s Dance Ensemble; CADENCE, and serves as Choreographer in the theatre department having choreographed over a dozen musicals including Once on This Island, Seussical, Pippin’, Anything Goes and Thoroughly Modern Millie.  In addition to teaching she also enjoys participating in community theatre working with directors at the United We Stand Theatre Troupe and The Erie Playhouse where she has performed in many productions such as From the Blues to the Bible, B.A.A.D., Aida, Chicago, Crowns and The Color Purple.

Christina Maria Adelhardt is considered one of the leaders in dance of Erie, PA. She arrived here, after dancing with Boston Ballet, as one of the first members of the professional company at Lake Erie Ballet. Training dancers to excel and capture the love of dance is her greatest passion.
