2022 Senior, DeZire Howard

DeZire Howard graduated from Collegiate Academy and is attending Hampton University in Virginia, an HBCU institution, Historically Black College and University, for a degree in Business Administration, Management and Marketing and participates in the dance team.  When DeZire first came to the studio, she was just a shy little thing with legs up to her ear.  Now 7 years later, she commands the stage like she owns it and audiences can’t take their eyes off of her.  Her strength and power leaves you wanting to watch more, which is why she won the highest award given at NYCDA, New York City Dance Alliance convention and competition for the solo she danced at the Year End Performance.  She is amazing in any style of dance, yes, even ballet, but watching her dance contemporary and tap just blows everyone away.
