Big Accomplishments for Dancers

Students of Sovereign Ballet are being recognized for their abilities around the nation.  They have spent many long hours in the studio, shed many drops of sweat, and the best part, it’s paying off!  Let me introduce you to 10 dancers.

Taylor Arrington, 18, received acceptance to Point Park University BFA Conservatory Program, Marymount Manhattan BFA Conservatory Program, and  Mercyhurst University BFA Program.   She will be attending Marymount Manhattan in the Fall.  Taylor also received a full scholarship to Alvin Ailey Pre-Professional Program.  While participating at NYCDA (New York City Dance Alliance) in March, she won another Outstanding Dancer scholarship to their National/Summer event, as well as, a scholarship to Steps on Broadway Conservatory Program.

Hannah Borczon, 18, received acceptance and scholarships to Temple University in Philadelphia BFA Program/Temple Academic Artistic Grant, Mercyhurst University BFA Program/Mother M Borgia Egan Academic Artistic Scholarship, Slippery Rock University BFA Dance Major and University at Buffalo BFA Dance Major.  She will be attending Temple University in the Fall.  Hannah also received acceptance for the Lehrer Summer Dance Intensive at the University at Buffalo where she plans to attend.

Myah Frase, 15, has been accepted to Joffrey NYC Summer Program and the Joffrey Ballet School Year Training Program as well as, Nashville Ballet Summer Intensive in Tennessee.  She plans to attend Nashville Ballet this summer.

Lily Kons, 14, received a scholarship to attend Joffrey Ballet’s Summer Program.  She will be traveling and attending Sovereign Ballet’s Summer Dance Training.

Anna Ackerman, 15, has been accepted at BalletMet in Columbus, Ohio, Texas Ballet Theater in Dallas/Ft. Worth, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theater.  She plans to attend PBT this summer. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Elana Dolan, 12, has been accepted at BalletMet in Columbus, Ohio, Texas Ballet Theater in Dallas/Ft. Worth, and Boston Ballet in Massachusetts.  She plans to attend Boston Ballet this summer.

DeZire Howard, 13, while participating at NYCDA (New York City Dance Alliance) in March, was awarded a scholarship to attend Syncopated Ladies Boot Camp in Los Angeles with critically acclaimed tap dancer and choreographer, Chole Arnold.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ysabet Luciano, 16, has been accepted at BalletMet in Columbus, Ohio as well as, Nashville Ballet in Tennessee.  She plans to attend Nashville Ballet.

Trinity Walker, 14, will be attending AREA (Atlanta’s Resource for Entertainment and Arts) in Georgia where she will train in contemporary ballet, abstract contemporary, and hip hop.  She also plans to attend the Ailey Experience Summer Program.


 

 

 

 

 

Arie Frase, 12, was accepted at the Joffrey Ballet’s Summer Program and the Nashville Ballet Summer Intensive.  She will be attending Sovereign Ballet’s Summer Dance Training.

Christina Maria Adelhardt is considered one of the leaders in dance of Erie, PA. She arrived here, after dancing with Boston Ballet, as one of the first members of the professional company at Lake Erie Ballet. Training dancers to excel and capture the love of dance is her greatest passion.

    So proud of you, Christy!! Natasha and Kathy would be so proud, also. I get Mixed up with Kathy/Catharina/Catherina or Cathy/Katharina/Katherina. It has been so long since she has passed, I still miss her.

      Thanks Janet! Yeah, I really miss Kathy, I wish she was here to see all that happens at the studio, she would love it! We talked so often about starting a studio together, in fact I was just telling my daughter last week how I wish she was here to see it. There are some days I really miss her, too.

      You were on the right path, lol. Her name is Catharina/Kathy, and I am Christina/Kristy.
